Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine (IPV)
This is one of the vaccines that protects against polio.
Ingredients:
Active ingredients:
Inactivated Polioviruses types 1, 2 and 3. These viruses are completely inactive so they cannot replicate or cause disease.
Inactive ingredients:
Amounts are based on a 0.5 mL dose
Antibiotics: used to prevent contamination during manufacturing
Growth Agents: ingredients that help the active ingredients grow in order to make the vaccine
